Your absence has a few practical consequences: there\u2019s <strong>nobody home<\/strong> to water the plants, to keep an eye on things, to get the mail out or \u2013 even worse \u2013 to receive those important <strong>packages<\/strong> you\u2019ve been expecting. This doesn\u2019t have to be an issue, though. A few simple tips for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhlexpress.be\/en\/\">package<\/a> delivery during the holiday season.<\/p>\n<h3>Try to come up with alternate destination<\/h3>\n<p>Don\u2019t make things hard on yourself. Why not send your parcel to a close friend, a neighbour or a family member? Even your <strong>workplace<\/strong> will do. Give your employer a heads up, and that\u2019s that. Or what about having your parcel shipped to the nearest <a href=\"https:\/\/locator.dhl.com\/ServicePointLocator\/\">DHL pick-up point<\/a> at your holiday destination?<\/p>\n<p>Tip: have you forgotten all about this precaution? No stress, even when you parcel is <strong>already on its way<\/strong>, it\u2019s not too late to change its course.<\/p>\n<h3>Request a signature<\/h3>\n<p>Most of the time, you don\u2019t have to sign for receipt. But if you\u2019re shipping or ordering high-value items, it\u2019s best to require a signature for your package to be released. This will prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. Did you know you can also ask for a <strong>telephone<\/strong> <strong>confirmation <\/strong>of delivery?<\/p>\n<h3>Postpone your delivery<\/h3>\n<p>Perhaps the best option is to have the parcel delivered <strong>on your own time<\/strong>. Stall the delivery a couple of days or weeks, so your package will arrive the day you return, for instance.
